Abstract

Social media is often used to convey negative things.
Hoaxes, and hate speech appear non-stop on social media. One
group of people heavily involved in the spread of fake news are
housewives. This is due to ignorance which leads to criminal
acts which housewives also do not know about the
consequences of spreading false information through social
media. To prevent this, counseling was held for the PKK group
RT 10 RW 12 The Palm Housing which is located in the North
Tambun area, Bekasi. This service activity offers solutions in
the form of seminars and education of concepts and rules
related to social media security, with the output of increasing
participants' understanding regarding the identification, use
and prevention of the hoaxes..
