The community service carried out with the theme
Optimizing Efforts to Prevent Delinquency and Crime of
Children which was carried out at SMK Bina Karya Mandiri
Bekasi, West Java which was aimed at students who were still
teenagers aimed to provide an understanding of juvenile
delinquency and criminality that may be committed by teenagers,
this is related by preventing this from happening. The method
used in this counseling is by way of lectures and discussions and
then ends with a question and answer. The results obtained from
this community service are that students and teachers are more
sensitive to legal issues, especially those related to juvenile
delinquency today. In addition, it is hoped that with this
community service, parents, especially those with teenage
children, will pay more attention to and supervise activities that
are considered deviant. Because adolescence is a transitional
period between children and adults, at this time there is also
doubt about the role to be played. A teenager is no longer a child
and also not an adult. Teenagers begin to try to act and behave
like adults, for example smoking, drinking, using drugs, and
engaging in sexual acts. This action is not in accordance with the
norms or rules that apply in society.
