Abstract

Facility layout design is one of the crucial aspects in increasing operational efficiency and productivity of a bakery. This research aims to develop an optimal facility layout design by considering material flow, minimizing transportation time, and increasing product quality and safety. The methods used include production process analysis, material flow mapping. Factors considered include material flow, space utilization, equipment, work areas, and operational requirements. A good layout of bakery facilities can increase production efficiency, reduce material handling costs, and improve work safety. Through careful analysis and planning, as well as using tools such as WINQSB, bakery factories can achieve an optimal layout to support an efficient production process.
