Pengembangan Manajemen Bank Sampah “Safa Marwa” Desa Wonokromo Bantul

Environmental Agency (BLH) in Yogyakata has recorded that the rate of waste produced by metropolitan citizens are 2.97 L/person/day, 2.50 L/person/day in the big city, 2.15 l/person/day in the medium city, and 2.28 l/person/day in the small city. The consequences are the waste increases that potentially affects people's health. Waste Community-based management through the “Bank Sampah” can be used as a reference for the waste management model that puts the 3R (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) paradigm. These activities can be replicated as the national movement to eliminate the waste itself. Bank Sampah “Safa Marwa” was established on November 7, 2017 until now can empowering PKK (housewife community) in RT 04, Wonokromo I, Pleret, Bantul. The benefit from this activity has potentially increasing economic aspects of residents as well as solutions of waste problems in the community. The problem that will be focused in the community development activities here are especially in “Bank Sampah” management aspects.
