Plagiarism Policy
The Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen Ubhara (JIMU) is committed to maintaining scientific integrity by ensuring that all published articles are original and free from plagiarism. To uphold this commitment, JIMU establishes the following Plagiarism Policy:
1. Plagiarism Screening
-
All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism detection software before entering the peer review process.
-
The maximum allowed similarity index is 20%, and plagiarism in essential sections (methodology, results, main contributions) is strictly prohibited.
2. Types of Plagiarism Violations
The journal recognizes several forms of plagiarism, including but not limited to:
-
Direct plagiarism – copying another author’s work without proper citation.
-
Self-plagiarism – reusing one's previously published work without disclosure.
-
Mosaic plagiarism – paraphrasing another’s work without adequate citation.
-
Idea plagiarism – using another author’s idea or concept without acknowledgment.
-
Duplicate submission/publication – submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
3. Actions for Plagiarism Cases
If plagiarism is detected:
-
Before publication: The manuscript will be rejected or returned for major revision.
-
After publication: The article may be retracted, and an official notice will be issued.
-
Authors may be prohibited from submitting future manuscripts to JIMU for a certain period.
4. Authors’ Responsibilities
-
Authors must ensure that the manuscript is original and all sources are properly cited.
-
Authors should disclose if the manuscript is derived from previously published work.
-
All contributors must be appropriately listed as authors.
5. Compliance with Ethical Standards
JIMU follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling ethical violations, including plagiarism.
