Peer Review

The peer review process in the Journal of Management Science Ubhara (JIMU) is designed to ensure that every published article meets high scientific standards, demonstrates originality, and contributes meaningfully to the field of management. JIMU applies a Double-Blind Peer Review system, in which both authors’ and reviewers’ identities are kept confidential to guarantee objectivity.

1. Submission of Manuscript

Authors submit their manuscripts through the Open Journal System (OJS). All submissions must comply with the journal template, writing guidelines, and publication ethics.

2. Initial Screening by the Editor

The editorial team conducts an initial evaluation to ensure:

  • Alignment with the journal’s focus and scope

  • Minimum scientific and academic quality

  • Compliance with formatting and submission guidelines

  • Plagiarism screening through reliable plagiarism detection software

Manuscripts may be desk-rejected at this stage if they fail to meet basic criteria.

3. Assignment to Reviewers

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript’s topic. The journal ensures that:

  • The review is double-blind

  • Reviewers come from different institutions than the authors

  • Any potential conflict of interest is identified before assignment

4. Peer Review Process

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and scientific contribution

  • Research methodology and rigor

  • Quality of analysis and results

  • Relevance of theoretical framework and literature review

  • Clarity of writing, structure, and completeness of references

Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

  1. Accept (No revision required)

  2. Minor Revision

  3. Major Revision

  4. Reject

Reviewers must also provide constructive comments to help improve the manuscript.

5. Revision by Authors

Authors revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ comments and upload:

  • The revised manuscript

  • A response to reviewers document addressing each comment

  • Any additional files if required

If revisions are inadequate, the editor may request further improvements.

6. Editor’s Final Decision

The editor reviews the revised manuscript and reviewer recommendations to make a final decision:

  • Accepted for publication

  • Additional revision required

  • Rejected

The editor’s decision is final.

7. Copyediting and Layout Editing

Accepted manuscripts undergo:

  • Language and grammar editing

  • Formatting adjustment

  • Layout editing according to JIMU’s publication standards

Authors may be asked to approve the proofreading version.

8. Publication

Finalized manuscripts are published in scheduled issues and made available as open access on the official JIMU website.

9. Post-Publication Process

If significant errors or ethical violations are detected after publication, the journal may take actions such as:

  • Issuing corrections

  • Retracting the article

  • Publishing a statement of concern

All procedures follow COPE guidelines.
