Karangasem Village has a reservoir located in the Gunung Pegat tourist area. To reduce dependence on commercial fish feed. The group took the initiative to produce feed independently, but the group did not know how to make fish pellets independently. This study aims to design a small-scale floating pellet production machine using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. Needs analysis using QFD, preparation of the House of Quality (HoQ), and benchmarking against two products available in the market. The final machine design uses a 2 HP electric dynamo, a galvanized UNP channel frame, an electric heating element with a temperature of 100–200°C, a stand-alone machine operating design, and is flexible to move. This machine is also equipped with a pellet screen that can be replaced as needed (2–5 mm). The benchmarking results show that the designed machine obtained the highest product position value compared to the two products available in the market. Thus, the application of the QFD method has proven effective in designing a floating pellet production machine according to user preferences and local conditions.
