Persoalan tugas perbantuan militer di era reformasi telah menjadi persoalan serius bagi kehidupan demokrasi di Indonesia. Secara perlahan tapi pasti keterlibatan militer ke ranah sipil dalam menjaga keamanan dalam negeri terus terjadi. Pelibatan militer itu kadangkala bertentangan dengan UU TNI hingga menimbulkan berbagai persoalan di tataran implementasi. Dalam rangka menjaga profesionalisme TNI dan kehidupan demokrasi di Indonesia, keberadaan pengaturan tugas perbantuan yang spesifik dan komprehensif menjadi kebutuhan utama.Tulisan ini bermaksud untuk mengupas persoalan tugas perbantuan militer di Indonesia yang akan ditinjau dari konsep perbantuan, kerangka pengaturan tugas perbantuan di Indonesia, serta kritik dan analisis terhadap tugas perbantuan di Indonesia.
