Correction and Retraction
Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen Ubhara (JMU) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. The journal handles corrections and retractions in accordance with publication ethics and established scholarly publishing practices.
1. Corrections
Corrections may be issued when errors are identified in a published article that affect the accuracy or clarity of the information but do not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions.
Authors who identify errors in their published articles should promptly notify the editorial team. The editorial team will assess the nature and significance of the errors and determine whether a correction notice is necessary.
Published corrections will clearly identify the original article and describe the changes made. The correction notice will be linked to the original article to ensure transparency and maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
2. Retractions
Retraction may be considered when a published article contains serious errors or evidence of research or publication misconduct that undermines the reliability or integrity of its findings. Reasons may include, but are not limited to:
-
Fabrication or falsification of research data.
-
Plagiarism or substantial unattributed duplication.
-
Serious methodological or analytical errors that invalidate the findings.
-
Duplicate publication without appropriate justification or disclosure.
-
Unethical research practices or other serious violations of publication ethics.
A retraction may be initiated by the authors, editors, publisher, or other parties who provide credible evidence of a concern. All cases will be carefully assessed before a decision is made.
3. Retraction Procedure
The editorial team will investigate concerns fairly and objectively, giving the relevant authors an opportunity to respond. When necessary, the journal may seek additional information from the authors' institutions or other relevant parties.
If retraction is deemed necessary, the journal will publish a retraction notice explaining the reason for the retraction, identifying the affected article, and linking the notice to the original publication. The original article will generally remain accessible, clearly marked as retracted, to preserve the publication record and ensure transparency.
4. Editorial Responsibility
Decisions regarding corrections and retractions are made by the editorial team based on the available evidence, the seriousness of the issue, and applicable publication ethics principles. The journal aims to ensure that all decisions are handled consistently, transparently, and fairly.
JMU reserves the right to take appropriate editorial action when credible concerns arise regarding the accuracy, reliability, or ethical integrity of published work.
This policy is intended to safeguard the integrity of academic publishing and maintain the trust of authors, reviewers, readers, and the wider scholarly community.
